Alice.com Review
Alice is your online retailer for all those items you buy and haul home, on a weekly or monthly basis. Alice has some of the best prices I've seen compared to local stores, plus the automatic coupons that are applied really help rake in the savings. On top of all this, everything you buy at Alice gets shipped to you for free. I've been using Alice since it launched in June of 2009. Keep reading below for a summary of Alice.

Getting Started
It is necessary to register on Alice to get the full features of the website. Registration is FREE, and there is no obligation to buy. You will also be answering a few questions about which items you buy often, this will help Alice create a customized list for you.
The first step in registering is selecting all the people in your household. Also, don't forget to select who you are, by clicking on "This is Me".

Choosing your product categories
After the above step, you spend a few minutes selecting the items you purchase most often. Depending on who you selected in your house, this list we accomidate your choices.

Saving your account
At the next screen, you need to enter your name, email address, and choose a password. Don't worry about sending them your email, I have never received any junkmail from alice. They need this information for login purposes and to send you order confirmations. I've heard that you also recevie a special offer on your birthday.

Navigating the site
Alice offers a few different options for adding products to your shelf. Your shelf is basically a list of everything you like to buy. After you add items on your shelf. To place an order, you drag the items to the shopping cart. This allow easy access to the things you buy most often.
You can search for products by brand, by room, or you can search for an exact name of a product. If you don't find what you are looking for, you can suggest a product.

Item Options
After searching for a product, and you decide to add it to your shelf or to your shopping cart, you are given a few options to choose from. These options include, adding to the current order, or saving for future orders, as well as setting how often you need these items. For an example, Alice will send you an email saying you may be running out of "tolet paper".
You can also give the product a custom name, like "Jennifer's Shampoo".

The Savings
Alice has a deal with manufacturers to ofter electronic coupons automatically for products you buy. If a coupon is out there, Alice will apply it and you can see the saving even before adding the products to your list. For example, in the image below: Suave shampoo is normally priced at $1.10, but a $0.50 coupon is available for you to use. The New item price is then $0.60. No more clipping coupons, or buying a Sunday paper just to get the coupons.

Checking out
The checkout page summarizes your order and gives you the total amount you saved. After you place your first order, for future order Alice will want a minimum of 6 items per order to help keep the shipping costs free.

My First Order
I placed an order on Alice.com on Wednesday evening, received an order confirmation in minutes. On Thursday, I received a shipping confirmation and a UPS Tracking number. So it appears shipping time for me was 2 business days. The package arrived Monday, and was packed very efficiently. I also like the care taken to secure the tops of bottles with tape, just in case the top opens. Now that's detail to customer service.
The best part of all this, now I don't have to shop at Wal-Mart.
